Come celebrate all those with Down syndrome and, in particular, remember those who are no longer with us at the 18th annual Caleb Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, May 15, 2023, at The Old Natchez Country Club.
The tournament honors Caleb Thompson, who in 2004 at 18-months old, lost a hard-fought battle with AVSD, a heart defect common in children with Down syndrome. About Caleb Thompson.
All players will be golfing at the exclusive Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin, TN, and will receive range balls, an executive gift from DSAMT, beverages on the course, breakfast and lunch, contests during play, and prizes following play.
We have a lot exciting fun on the course planned, including the always fun, Air Cannon Contest.
What the Tournament Funds Support and Why We Need Your Help
Funds raised at this tournament support critical programming at DSAMT, including our Sunshine Program, which provides support to families who are in the hospital for long stays. We deliver meals, gift bags filled with needed items and visit these families to help bring some comfort during this difficult time. We help them take care of other responsibilities, so that the recovery of the child can be their only focus. Approximately one-half of babies born with Down syndrome will have a heart defect, so this outreach is very important to our mission.
We encourage everyone to help by referring sponsorships and/or fundraising and asking friends, family and colleagues to make a gift to help enhance the lives of those with Down syndrome.
