D&S Community Services has remained steadfast in commitment to provide the highest quality care in the industry through staff training, innovative programs, and an emphasis on in-house professional expertise, medical care, and psychological services. D&S has developed specialized services, departments, and programs to help everyone involved – the individual, their family, and D&S staff – contribute to an environment of success and fulfillment.

Our Place Nashville (formerly Nashville IDD Housing Group)

A 501(c)3 non-profit organization that facilitates affordable housing for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in an interdependent and supportive community comprised of graduate students and other future societal change agents.

Rochelle Center

Support for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Enhance skills necessary to become as independent as possible in our community. Day programs and residential services available.

Millar Rich

Millar Rich specializes in providing Family Model Residential Services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Millar Rich contracts with families (Family Lifestyle Teachers) to provide services in their home to adults that have an intellectual disability as a primary diagnosis.


DSAMT Offers Unique Help for Disability Day on the Hill

Disability Day on the Hill, which will be Feb. 8, 2017, is an important day for families to share their personal stories with state representatives and senators to help them understand how the decisions they make on legislative issues affect individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Down Syndrome and Social Security Disability Benefits

If your child or family member has Down syndrome, he or she may be eligible for financial assistance to help pay for any medical care, housing costs, caretakers, and any other daily living needs. The Social Security Administration (SSA) offers benefits for people who are unable to work or participate in typical childhood activities due to a serious disability. Down syndrome almost always medically qualifies for Social Security benefits, but financial eligibility may be a little more challenging.
