The Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee (DSAMT) organizes the The Extra Mile (SM) to celebrate and support individuals with Down syndrome and their families and to promote understanding and acceptance of those with Down syndrome. The Extra Mile will be the largest Down syndrome awareness event in the state and our primary source of funding for our programs.
Support your loved one with Down syndrome by getting a Down Syndrome Awareness license plate. ONLY $35 more than what you already pay, and half that extra money goes to statewide advocacy efforts
The DSAMT golf tournament honors Caleb Thompson, who in 2004, at 18-months old, lost a hard-fought battle with AVSD, a heart defect common in children with Down syndrome. This tournament has grown year after year, and we are striving to be the premiere charity golf event in Middle TN. Funds raised at this tournament support critical programming at DSAMT, especially our Sunshine program, which provides support to families who are in the hospital.

Celebrate someone with Down syndrome, while supporting DSAMT. All purchased items help support our mission.
From October 7 - October 21, all Penn Station locations host a Round Up for Down Syndrome campaign to support their local Down syndrome organization. Funds raised in the Middle TN area support DSAMT!
Customers can round up their purchase to donate to the DSAMT! With a donation of $2 or more, customers receive a BOGO coupon for their next visit.
Support businesses who donate a portion of your purchases to support the important programs at DSAMT.
There are many businesses that are owned or operated by individuals who have Down syndrome, employ them or give a portion of their proceeds to the Down syndrome community. Please consider supporting these businesses.
There are many different types of volunteer activities at DSAMT. Most of the wonderful programs, social events, camps, and workshops rely on support from the community.
